Rusty but never forgotten……

Don’t you just love it when a plan starts to come together?  I certainly get very excited when my latest project starts to transform and actually look like I had imagined it would!  My rusty old canning jar rims are feeling the love today.  They received a massage, rubbed with steel wool for several minutes each.  I must say that the massage did them some good.  Made them smooth, got rid of the imperfections.  Now they were off to sit in the sun after a spray on tanning session.  Just look at them now!

The darker green has finished it’s session, they are ready for their next assignment.  The lighter green still need another day of tanning, we ran out of sunshine today.

Tomorrow is another day to treat these tired lids to an additional spa day.  When they are finished, we will get to work assembling them. They will start the next chapter of their lives as a new suave, sophisticated, and admired decoration.

Come and see how much they have changed……………… Cyn

About designbycyn

Sonoma County, California ceramic enthusiasts Cyn and Steven Gradek have worked in the clay medium since 1996. They had a retail store where they held classes and provided the essentials for fellow ceramic enthusiasts. The business evolved into producing for other retail outlets and artist. Which quickly grew and they closed the retail storefront and concentrated on the wholesale business. With their 3 children raised and on their own, they had time to pursue their own creativity. Cyn learned how to embroider from her Grandma Cirner at a young age. After that she found sewing, cross stitching, crocheting, well you get the jist, LOL. She hasn't met a craft that she hasn't liked. Blogging was suggested by her youngest daughter, Colleen. At first it was a battle to get her to try it, but eventually Cyn started to enjoy the exercise. The blog on Cyn's website designbycyn.com was limiting, so Colleen got her started with Wordpress. Hope you enjoy her Adventures with Creativity!
