Ideas strike at the weirdest times, I tell ya.   Very inconvenient when you are in the middle of traffic, or showering, or at the movie theatre.  The notepad in my purse is completely unhelpful in those situations.  Just once I’d like the idea to strike at a more convenient time!  This time I was driving to visit my Mom in the Fresno area.  My grandchildren were with me, we were going to see “The Little Mermaid” play with family and the kids were so excited to see their Great Grandma.  Stopping was not an option, the trip is 4 to 5 hours long depending on the traffic.  The kids just wanted to get to Great Grandma’s house.

Upon returning home, I gathered all the sundry items I would be needing and set them out for playing with on my day off.  So excited to open the door to my craft room.  I haven’t spend much time in there since I broke my wrist.  Now though, I had a plan and was zeroed in on this project!  Never mind the cobwebs, dust bunnies, and messiness.  There was serious crafting to be done!

Pack Rat…… Yeah I am guilty of that, lol.  I have been saving my scrap material for years.  I would like to quilt someday, soooooo…… huh makes sense to me.  I pulled out various pieces of material and got to work.

Wowzer!  This was so much fun!  I was enjoying myself so much I almost forgot to get lunch for my mother in law.

All finished!  I am so enamored with this new pillow!  Now to pick out the new pattern for the second pillow, one down 3 to go!  Whoop, whoop, we are so energized today!  Feels so good to finally feel like I am back in a great creative groove!  Oh how I missed this feeling!

So many ideas, just not enough time to play….. Cyn

About designbycyn

Sonoma County, California ceramic enthusiasts Cyn and Steven Gradek have worked in the clay medium since 1996. They had a retail store where they held classes and provided the essentials for fellow ceramic enthusiasts. The business evolved into producing for other retail outlets and artist. Which quickly grew and they closed the retail storefront and concentrated on the wholesale business. With their 3 children raised and on their own, they had time to pursue their own creativity. Cyn learned how to embroider from her Grandma Cirner at a young age. After that she found sewing, cross stitching, crocheting, well you get the jist, LOL. She hasn't met a craft that she hasn't liked. Blogging was suggested by her youngest daughter, Colleen. At first it was a battle to get her to try it, but eventually Cyn started to enjoy the exercise. The blog on Cyn's website designbycyn.com was limiting, so Colleen got her started with Wordpress. Hope you enjoy her Adventures with Creativity!
