Do you procrastinate hanging frames the way I do?  I can never get them spaced quite right.  The frames all have sundry styles of hardware on the backs and I end up with more holes that frames hung.  Pathetic, I know.

During my hiatus from using my right wrist, I know that was 2 years ago almost, wow!  I found a picture while cruising the internet.  The most fantastic idea going for a frame-hanging-challenged schmuck like me!  A door!  Who knew it could be so simple to figure out.  No hole punctured wall with nothing to show for it.  I would finally be able to hang all my favorite photos in one fell swoop!  Well, to be honest Steven would be doing the hanging, on cleats to be exact.

We were doing our usual walk through at the “Re-Store” and found this solid wood door, minus the glass.  This lovely door came home with us, I think it new that it would soon become a showpiece and didn’t want to miss out on the attention!

Yahooo! Halfway done with the staining.  The heavy work is left for Steven, lol.  We have to get a sheet of lexan, cut, install, and ready for hanging…….. I get the fun job of arranging the pictures, he he he.  We’ll see how long it takes us to finish this project…… Cyn

About designbycyn

Sonoma County, California ceramic enthusiasts Cyn and Steven Gradek have worked in the clay medium since 1996. They had a retail store where they held classes and provided the essentials for fellow ceramic enthusiasts. The business evolved into producing for other retail outlets and artist. Which quickly grew and they closed the retail storefront and concentrated on the wholesale business. With their 3 children raised and on their own, they had time to pursue their own creativity. Cyn learned how to embroider from her Grandma Cirner at a young age. After that she found sewing, cross stitching, crocheting, well you get the jist, LOL. She hasn't met a craft that she hasn't liked. Blogging was suggested by her youngest daughter, Colleen. At first it was a battle to get her to try it, but eventually Cyn started to enjoy the exercise. The blog on Cyn's website was limiting, so Colleen got her started with Wordpress. Hope you enjoy her Adventures with Creativity!
