New Duds…..

This summer has been very busy!  Between watching the grandkids several times a week, working, canning, gardening, and routine chores, the summer has been slipping by.  As a kid in school, the year dragged by and you measured time in increments of homework, holidays, and summer vacation.  While we were raising our family, I still measured time the same way, only I couldn’t wait for the school year to begin! Haha.  Funny, now time just flies, oft times I couldn’t even tell you the day of the week, lol.  I don’t have any children in school by which to keep track.

I do however have my own time keeper….. projects!  Time is a valuable commodity now and I try to juggle everything so that I still have free time to play.  I told you that I was going to finally make my paper doll some clothes.  Well, these clothes take longer to make than any clothes I have ever made!  Well worth the effort I must say.  Grace, as I have named her, has a new pair of pajamas!  I am sure she was getting tired of hanging out in our living room in her undies.  At least now, she can keep warm in the evenings.  Not quite ready to be seen outside yet, but I’m working on that.

Here’s Gracie!…..

Now she has a teddybear to keep her company while I am at work!  I laugh at myself about how excited I get about these paper dolls!  I have already picked out our next outfit to needlepoint.  A Halloween costume!  I should be able to have it done in time…… Cyn

About designbycyn

Sonoma County, California ceramic enthusiasts Cyn and Steven Gradek have worked in the clay medium since 1996. They had a retail store where they held classes and provided the essentials for fellow ceramic enthusiasts. The business evolved into producing for other retail outlets and artist. Which quickly grew and they closed the retail storefront and concentrated on the wholesale business. With their 3 children raised and on their own, they had time to pursue their own creativity. Cyn learned how to embroider from her Grandma Cirner at a young age. After that she found sewing, cross stitching, crocheting, well you get the jist, LOL. She hasn't met a craft that she hasn't liked. Blogging was suggested by her youngest daughter, Colleen. At first it was a battle to get her to try it, but eventually Cyn started to enjoy the exercise. The blog on Cyn's website was limiting, so Colleen got her started with Wordpress. Hope you enjoy her Adventures with Creativity!
